No-Limit Hold'em is an extremely complex game, which is hard to learn and even harder to teach someone. Many authors have written books on this subject, but they were either too simple or too complicated. The author of this book, Hunter Cichy, has the unique ability to present complicated topics in a way that anyone can understand. In this book, Hunter talks about a straightforward no nonsense approach to poker analysis. His philosophy features the five key elements of poker theory. The pot odds, implied odds, pot equity, fold equity and minimum defense frequency. Hunter thoroughly examines all five of these elements and explains how they are interrelated. By combining optimal opening ranges with a clear explanation of mathematics and game theory, Hunter presents a powerful strategy that is easy to use and difficult to exploit. Careful research explained in this book will take your poker game to the next level.

Satisfied with my purchase
I recommend this book for the thinking poker fan. The book can come across as overwhelming to the hobbyist. When you read a poker strategy book you want to identify with the author, this book certainly did that for me. The book explains advanced concepts in No-limit Holdem and are well thought out. Nothing is random in the book, on the contrary, everything is thought out in precision. 5/5

The book is mainly focused on cash games and not tournaments. I even prefer to play tournaments, the book helps but not completely. The book is very full of tables, it is more for the advanced player. Still I am happy my purchase I learned a lot.
